The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity is the only charity event in the whole world characterised by such impetus, scope and spectacular nature. The enormous success enjoyed by the campaign, especially among young people, can be attributed above all to the charisma of Jurek Owsiak.

The 18th Great Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity will be held on Sunday, 10 January 2010.
For a second time the Orchestra is going to collect funds to support children’s oncology wards. Apart from the main goal of the Finale, the funds raised will be used by the foundation to carry out and finance its three medical-educational programmes encompassing the whole country. These include: hearing screening of newborns, apnea therapy and first aid trainings for elementary school students.
As every year, the Great Finale will be accompanied by a concert at Warsaw’s Plac Defilad. The first performer will be Arka Noego; beginning at 14:00. The greatest stars of Polish music have confirmed their participation in the concert. These include Kasia Kowalska, Ewelina Flinta, Justyna Steczkowska and IRA. We will also hear such groups as: Strefa 50 , Ares&The Tribe, Chico, Kochankowie Gwiezdnych Przestrzeni or Big Fat Mama. The concert will go on until late in the evening. As always, 18th WOŚP Finale Centres will be active both in Poland and abroad.
